About Coach Boobie
My name is James Williams, but most people know me as Coach Boobie. I'm a former Division I and NFL running back, but more importantly, I'm someone who understands the work, discipline, adversity, and sacrifice it takes to chase goals at a high level.
Growing up, sports gave me confidence, structure, and purpose. They taught me how to push through adversity, stay disciplined, and keep going even when things got difficult. That mindset is what led me to create Adversity Training.
Throughout my journey, I've also faced adversity firsthand. After suffering a torn ACL, I experienced the mental and physical challenges that come with rebuilding confidence, staying disciplined, and fighting back from setbacks. That experience changed the way I approach training, recovery, and mentorship.
It taught me that adversity is something every athlete will face in some form, whether it's injuries, self-doubt, pressure, failure, or obstacles outside of sports. Learning how to respond during those moments is what truly shapes an athlete and a person. That mindset is the foundation of Adversity Training.
My goal isn't just to help athletes get faster or more explosive. It's about helping build confidence, discipline, work ethic, and belief in themselves. I want every athlete who trains with me to feel supported, challenged, and motivated to become the best version of themselves both on and off the field.
As a father, I understand how important it is for parents to trust the person training their child. Whether your athlete is just getting started or chasing elite-level goals, I'm passionate about helping them improve through real training, real accountability, and real encouragement. At the end of the day, Adversity Training is bigger than sports. It's about learning how to face adversity and change your story.
